There is not long left to register for the XXI ISPIM Conference – The Dynamics of Innovation – which will take place in Bilbao, Spain on 6-9 June 2010. Organised by ISPIM and hosted by Innobasque, the Basque Innovation Agency, this conference will bring together over 300 innovation management experts, researchers, managers and policy makers. The three-day event includes forty-two themed sessions containing 193 presentations that have been selected from the 380 researchers and companies that applied to present. You can also expect industry-leading keynote and luminary sessions, workshops, discussion panels and excellent networking opportunities with a taste of local Basque culture.
The conference includes an interesting and diverse speaker line-up including Matt Kingdon, Chairman, Co-Founder and Chief Enthusiast, ?What If! The Innovation Company on The Power of Momentum, Joe Tidd, Professor, Technology & Innovation Management, SPRU, University of Sussex on Leveraging Lean Innovation and Jon Azua, Chairman, CEO and Founder,  e-novatinglab Group on Co-Creating Innovative Value. In addition the conference includes luminary speakers presenting innovation in practice (including case studies from BBVA, Nokia Research Center, Grundfos and Bombardier Aerospace), panel discussions, workshops and special interest groups.
As always, the social and networking side of the conference is important. A walking tour on the Sunday afternoon includes a look at the historic centre of Bilbao and how it has successfully transformed its industrial core. The walk starts and finishes at the Edificio Ensanche, which hosts the Welcome Reception. The Gala Dinner on the Monday is at the world-famous Bilbao Guggenheim Museum and on Tuesday the Azurmendi Restaurant & Txakoli Wine Cellar, run by Michelin star chef Eneko Atxa, will bring a taste of traditional Basque cuisine and culture to the conference.
